In accordance with Reference A, I have reviewed all pertinent activities under my jurisdiction. Essentially those activities were previously reported in References B and C. Again the requests are from USIB agencies, and equipment is normally requested for a specific purpose and duration. Recent examples of equipment loan are the following: (a) On 3 June 1974 the Secret Service requested loan of six 25X1A units to be used in support o resident Nixon's trip to the Middle East in late June; in May 1974 the ed loan of one 25X1A detector to assist in some analysis being conducted in their own laboratories. Incidentally both of these loans were made only after specific approval from the Director of Security who had coordinated the matter with the Inspector General and perhaps the DD/M&S.
