In early December 1964 when the research project
was submitted to the DDS, I received a call from
Senior Training Officer, DDS, at which time he
advised me that the DDS had approved the research project
and he inquired as to what expenses I would incur. After
discussion it was agreed that I would receive expenses of
$100 per month to cover travel and per diem. This is not
a flat $100 per month, just an approximation of the amount
that would be needed.
