Several weeks ago Mr Deputy Director of Security, asked th arrangements be made to have the Library of Congress publish or release copies of Harry Murphy's book "Where's a number of discussions with in the Agency Library, who was the point tact in dealing with the Library of Congress. I Imoved quite expeditiously in arranging for and Photography Division to make microfiche copies of the book so that the publication could be made available in unclassified form to the general public, 7 Immediately following the above arrangements, Office of Legislative Counsel, indicated that he a some concern about the copyright problems, and he requested that we delay plans for the publi the book by the Library of Congress. I advised that the arrangements had been established quite irm y, copies had been made of the publication, and the word had gone forth that the book would be available to the general public. I indicated that the time had passed where we could cancel or delay the.actions which had been taken by the ibrary of Congress. I discussed this with Ms. and she was in complete and total agreement, 3. In my more recent discussions with Ms. she indicated that the book had been made available o e pub- lic, and there were no particular difficulties encountered.
