Approved For Release 20/05 3 - DP83B00823R0QP200120013-6 17 September 1971 MEMORANDUM FOR: Chief, Executive Planning Division SUBJECT : Organization of Former Employees of CIA REFERENCE : Executive Director -Comptroller's Memo, dated 3 September 1971, Subject: Item for Deputies Meeting Agenda 1. In reference to the Executive Director-Comptroller's memorandum of 3 September 1971, attached are comments by the Chief and Deputy Chief /Employee Activity Branch /Personnel Security Division. A second step would require the Agency to deal with the association on a completely unclassified basis. The Agency should Approved For Release 2000/05/31 1484B@tM200120013-6 Approved For Release 2Q O/05/31 : CIA-RDP83B00823R0 200120013-6 not furnish classified information to the association. (The proposal includes the recommendation that the "SECRET" study itself be furnished to the organizing committee. 6. A third step would require reworking the idea to provide for the possibility that non-friendly or unfriendly persons could obtain high positions in the association. We just don't know all the people that well, and people and their attitudes do change. 25X1A9a Deputy Director of Security for Personnel Security Distribution: Original & 1 Adse Approved For Release 2000/05/31 : CIA-RDP83B00823R000200120013-6 2
