During this month, the completed study on the Community-wide, Computer-assisted Compartmentation Control System was presented to the Chairman, Security Committee, USIB. 2. During July, the administrative handbook war guidance in handling three compartmented programs completed and is now being printed. 3. On 17 July, a member of the SSC took over the duties of Security Officer for SE Division while the regular Security Officer was on vacation. 4. During July, 5 members of the Rockefeller Commission on Domestic CIA Activities were debriefed. These debriefings are continuing into August. 5. On 31 July, a member of the SSC, the Security Program atRecovery Consultant to theSilver Indian Head, Maryland meeting on this program Station. 6. During July, CIB deleted 145 names from the computer to bring the total down to 108,468 persons on andsdea total of briefingsThere record at the enofande267month. briefings. 1,772 cable actions to customers Seventeen SPECLE machine runs were supplied this month. 7. During the last week of July, CIB went into parallel operations in the process of the changeover from SPECLE I to SPECLE II. During the last week of July, debriefings associated with retirements and some terminations have caused heavy activity in CIB. 9. One hundred eighty five (185) CIA employees were briefed during July on programs constituting 320 compartmented programs. Ninety-nine (99) non-CIA indi- viduals were briefed on a total of 262 compartmented programs. The largest customer this month was the Justice Department with 27 persons briefed on a total of 79 programs. Others briefed were from the following organizations: 25X1A 25X1A Senate Select Special Counsel for Colby Agriculture White House IBM DEA FBI ERDA House Select Committee IC Staff NSC 10. Facilities at the following locations were accredited for the storage and handling of various compart- mental materials during July: 25X1A 25X1A (d) (e) (f) (g) National Security Agency, Ft.
