Approved For Release-W00/05/31C - ??23RGO050021000 9-1 TECHNICAL SECURITY DIVISION HIGHLIGHTS FOR JULY 1975 25X1A On 2 Jul 1975 the office complex of the DCI was given a very thorough inspection with emphasis on physical inspection. 25X1A A representative of the Office met with a representative of the DDO Systems Staff to discuss the type and scope of microfiche use contemplated by the DDO. This information was desired in order to enable the Technical Security Division to more properly assess the overseas requirements for destruction facilities designed to handle such a product. On 17 July two members of the Office of Security traveled to Friendship Annex, Baltimore, Md., to brief participants in NSA's Senior Cryptological Course 25X1 A During the period 17 - 23 July support was 25X1A provided to the DCI (2) and the DD/DDS&T (1) on three separate appearances on Capitol Hill. One hundred and fifty copies of the new in-house produced Personnel Protection Guide were delivered to the DD/O Dispatch and Pouch Section where they will be transmitted to all overseas stations and bases. 25X1 A A member of the Division visited the facilities of 25X1 A on 23 July 1975. As a result of that discussion another meeting will be held with 25X1A of the Office of Communications to discuss the possible incorporation of fiber optics in the proposed secure telephone and data system for the Headquarters Building. 25X1A On 29 July 1975 support was provided the Deputy Director for Science and Technology as he testified during the morning session of the Arms Control International Or anization 25X1A and Security Agreements Subcommittee. support was also provided the DCI on the same date during his testimony before the Defense Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee. 25X1A On 30 July support was provided to the DCI as he testified before the Defense Subcommittee of the Senate Appro- 25X1A priations Committee.
