MONTHLY HIGHLIGHTS REPORT
SPECIAL SECURITY CENTER
January 1979
1. The Compartmented Information Branch (CIB) during
January deleted 3,068 names from the SPECLE Computer and
added 3,542 names bringing the total number of names in
SPECIE II to 151,323 on record at the end of January 1979.
There were 3,228 cable actions conducted by CIB personnel.
Thirty-nine hardcopy computer reports and eight microfiche
were supplied to various Intelligence Community customers
during January.
2. Three hundred and seventy-three briefings were
given to one hundred and eighty-nine CIA employees. In
addition, one hundred and thirty-two briefings were presented
to fifty non-CIA personnel as follows:
