MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director of Security (P&M)
SUBJECT Approval for Circulation of Office of
Security History
1. Reference is made to the request from the Acting Executive
Officer to the Deputy Director for Adminstration that the attached
list of titles of the Office of Security History be reviewed to
determine which may be made available for general circulation.
2. the author of the major portion of the
Office History has indicated that he sees no problem in making these
volumes available, with the possible exception of those dealing with
Personnel Security and Polygraph Program. We have reviewed those
two volumes and find nothing in them which would preclude their cir-
culation.
3. clarified the term "general circulation" to
mean "Office Directors" or their "Chiefs of Plans". This being the
case, I recommend that
