SUBJECT : Critical Review of Office Operations
1. Reference is made to my memorandum dated 30 April
1969, captioned as above.
2. Effective 5 January 1970, IOS will consist of two divi-
sions, Investigations Division and Operational Support Division,
which will absorb the functions of the Special Activities Division,
defunct as of 5 January 1970. This reorganization is designed
to provide greater efficiency and flexibility in the use of
personnel within the limits dictated by operational feasibility,
Table of Organization requirements, and space/moving restric-
tions.
