Secnrity's proposed r4orgenilation is appreciated. Tho
Office of Security has reviewed your memoranduo in light of
the objective$ they seek to accomplish by the. reorganizatioA
e-Ad have suggeste4 the folloNig 4,bservations. These
covaAnta aro. keyed to the parasrapli$ in your memorandum:

The Officeof Security reducod three superlrade
positions as directed ')y the AS on 12 March 1973.
An additional supergrade position is recommended for
4olotion under the proposed reorganization. These
25X9 fourpositions represent a reduction in total
supergrade positions within the Office of Security
during the past severs1 uonths. The Office of Security
agrees with your recommendation that the senior srade
levels be reviewed by the Personnel Management and
Compensation Division. Indeed, they suqgest that
not only SOAi07 grade levels be reviewed, but that
the entire reorganization plan be subjected to their
scrutiny.

positions-, five SS-i3 positions and nine 0.-l2
positions wore abolished. The Office of Security
bolioves that after this reduction and the reductions..
r*conwended in the proposed roor0:anization, a. satis-
-factory balance in the overall grade strncturo ifl

grade.

The Office of Security concurs that it would be
unwise to combioe in the CorAputer Security Unit the
Office of Security staff responsibility for computer
security in the Agency with functions in the co*puter
area which lie beyond its?presently'a$signed responsi-
bilities. Thy also nree that the suggested title,

they have reltaved this unit, Information Systos Soca-
