SUBJECT Security Arrangements for Receipt of Classified
Maters by Senate Select Committee
1. On `19 March 1975 I tphonically inquired of Mr. Benjamin C.
Marshall, Security Officer of the Senate Select Committee, whether he
was in a position to begin receiNffMv. classified documents. He advised
that arrangements had been perfted and that effective 20 March 1975
such documents could be delivers as follows:
The courier should :ter the 1st and C Street entrance
of the Dirksen Senate Ofd 'Building, inquire of the gu'ard 'a.s `
to the location of Room a8, go to the front door of G308,
a`dk?i:se the guard there tbatrrnaterial is being delivered and
have him call Mr. Marsh, or Charity Benz, both of whom
are authorized to receive m1assified documents up to and
including TOP SECRET s
2. Mr. Marshall request that prior to delivery he or someone
in his office be telephonically adzrsed (224-1700) of the impending
delivery and the estimated timemff arrival so that he nor someone from
his office can be available. He ,altzrr stated that if delivery was desired
to a specific staff member, Mr. B&r shall would try and have such
person available, but stated he ums authorized to accept documents
for members: of the Committee:a r staff.
3. The Committee has ratyet advised as to compartmented
clearances but Mr. Marshall has been designated Compartmentation
Mr. Patrick Shea is expected 1 be added as a person to receive
documents but the certificatioit;fw this access to classified material
has not as yet been received by-jwur office.
