MEMORANDUM FOR: Principals of Ad Hoc Coordinating
Group on Congressional Investigations
SUBJECT : Third Meeting (7 February 1975) of the
Ad Hoc Group on Congressional Review
of the Intelligence Community
1. The Ad Hoc Group met at 1015 hours in the DCI
Conference Room.

tain security ground rules. Further, in connection with ther-
appendices assigned for drafting, the DCI was desirous of having
as many as possible completed by midweek.

vestigations and report to the Chairman of the Congressional

?~ Senator Church would determine who on the staff should be
cleared../ The clearances will be administered through the estab-
lished procedures including those of a special compartmented
nature. Senator Church will be encouraged to apply a strict
need-to-know criteria for any compartmented clearances.
4. Copies of the Security paper, prepared by the Security
Committee of USIB, and proposed for transmittal to the Church
Committee were distributed and comments solicited. It was
agreed that the paper would be reworked with the assistance of

paper previously provided Presidential Commission.
5. There followed a status report on Appendix A thru L,
the drafter's responsibility for coordinating was reaffirmed.
It should be noted that there is no Appendix '
I in the current listing.

be held each Friday at 1015 hours in Room 7-D-64, CIA, Headquarters.
