1. Reference is made to a memorandum 9 August 1975
from 74r. Richard L. Thornburgh, Assistant kttorney General/
Department of Justice, to Mr. John Warner, General Counsel/
CIA, requesting certain documents from the Deputy Directorate
for Administration and the Deputy Directorate for Operations.
2. In the above memorandum MT. Thornburgh requested
certain information and documents concerning the organization
of the Office of Security from 1950 to 1968 and the names of
all Office of Security personnel involved (witting) in the
operational or administrative aspects of
Ifrom 1952 through 1973 (paragraph 1, subparagrape
A and B).
3. A separate reply will be forwar ed in regard to
paragraph 1, subparagraph B (3) (Project
matter) as expeditiously as it can be compl ted. Attached is
a memorandum containing the names and dates of terms of the
several Directors of Security and Deputy Directors of Security
during the 1950-1968 period. Also attached is a copy of Office
of Security organizational charts covering the period of 195?-
1968.
4. It should be noted that included with the various
charts is a list of the incumbents of the various positions.
Certain of these individuals were at the time and may still
be under cover as regards Agency employment.
