FYI: Update on recent Agency support to PFIAB.
- In what has been described as a "Herculean effort," spent 8 April 25X1
briefing Dr. Foster's task force on the technology transfer issue. (His memorandum for
the record was forwarded separately.) Thirty copies of "Soviet Acquisition of Western
Technology" were provided later for the Board's use.
- During Mr. Six's 7-27 April trip to the Far East, arranged for him to meet with
Station personnel and some senior liaison officials 25X1
Discussions centered on Agency morale, quality of new employees, mission 25X1
activities, and ways in which PFIAB could be supportive. Mr. Six is planning on visiting
in June. 25X1
- Provided the Board a copy of the unclassified assessment "National Strategies
and the Global Economy."
- As an interim response to Mr. Perot's request for reporting on the Dozier case
and the Libyan threats against President Reagan, provided Mr. Perot 17 DDI articles.
DDI and DDO are continuing to collect DDO reporting: and compiling a chronology of
events for Mr. Perot. will eventually brief him
on the handling of these two incidents.
- In anticipation of Mr. Baker's loo

- On 16 Apri DDI/SOVA, provided Vice
Chairman Leo Cherne an informal briefing on the strengths and weaknesses of the Soviet
economy and how this. country could maximize these weaknesses.
