. The State Department's memorandum of April 15 informed
members of the Interagency Group on East-West Policy of Under
Secretary Eagleburger's request that the East-West Policy
Study be updated.
As a first step in this process, a working-level meeting
has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 21 at 3:15 p.m.
Director of Soviet Affairs Thomas Simons will chair the
meeting. It will be held in the European Affairs Conference
Room (room 6226), Department of State. Please designate an
appropriate official of your respective agency to attend this
meeting.
