Enclosed are transcripts of hearings before the Permanent Select Committee
on Intelligence of July 13-14, 1982. The transcript of July 13 contains
Covert Action material and must be protected accordingly. The Committee
requests that appropriate corrections be made and the completed transcript
returned by July 26, 1982. Corrections should be limited to grammar and minor
editing and may not be made to change the substance of the testimony.
The Committee is forwarding the enclosed transcripts for editing with the
understanding that they are on temporary loan arid will not be copied, except
that one copy may be made of each transcript for the purpose of producing an
unclassified version. These copies, with appropriate redactions, should be
provided to the Committee with the returned transcripts.
