E. Michener, Chairman SUBJECT: Phase II Planning Schedule 1. Two meetings of the Executive Committee have been scheduled to hear presentations on Phase Ti of the long-range planning process. The first meeting, scheduled for Thursday, 15 April, will cover the intelligence targets. The second meeting, scheduled for Thursday, 22 April, will cover counterintelligence and covert action. Each of these sessions is expected to take about one-hour (1/2 hour each on CI and CA). The Phase II Intelligence Target Goals and Objectives papers should be in the . hands of the Planning Staff by Monday, 5 April; and the CI and CA papers should be in our hands by Monday, 12 April so they can be submitted to EXCOM members with the Agenda a week before the meeting. The Executive Director expects that these one-hour sessions will cover the significant findings and changes in priorities that emerged from this process. 2. In order to help you prepare your principals for the EXCOM meetings (for this and future phases), we are arranging for the team chiefs to make short informational briefings on their papers to the IPG. The first of these meetings will be on Thursday, 8 April at 2:00 PM in the DCI Conference Room.
