SUBJECT: MX Basing
I went through the work that we've done and have had do on Dense
Pack. During November it is likely that a decision will Pave to be made on
MX Basing and we will have to get our judgments on the ability of the Soviets
to react to Dense Pack with and without a further protection by missile
defense, in clear judgments comprehensible to non-experts at the NSC. Will
you start working on this promptly.
