At the outset, I want to tell you in a personal way how much I have
enjoyed working with you from your days as DNI through your recent position
as the DDCI. I always appreciated your cooperation with me and you
stimulated me in many ways through your leadership during my days as
Chairman of the STIC. Your support made my work much easier and much
more effective.
In particular I would like to thank you for your support through
your co-sponsorship of the recently completed Colloquium on Future Space
Missions. From remarks I have heard I believe that in many ways the
Colloquium was successful. The success was in large part because of your
active role as a sponsor and your address and presence. I genuinely
appreciate it.
As I am sure you know, was invaluable to us during the
formative days of the Colloquium, Those of us who were involved with it
are indebted to him.
I wish you well in your future endeavors and I hope that in some way
we will be able to keep in touch.
