Plans for the Future Space fissions Colloquium have been progressing
steadily since your meeting with the Sponsors on 12 March. At the suggestion
of Admiral Inman and Dr. Keyworth, the number of speakers has been
significantly reduced to allow more time for each. Now each has been asked to
talk for about one hour with one and a half hours allowed for discussion at
the end of each of the three sessions. Your talk is scheduled for 4 June.
Norman Augustine, George Low, and Bud Wheelon have all agreed to serve as
moderators of the military, civil, and other uses sessions respectively.
Eberhardt Rechtin has agreed to serve on a panel with Bud Wheelon and George
Low to formulate the findings of the Colloquium. Admiral Inman will moderate
this panel and he has agreed to give the keynote address.
As indicated on the preliminary agenda which is enclosed, in addition to
yourself, Robert Cooper, Lt.Cen. Richard Henry, USAF, Robert Buchheim, and
Hans Mark have all aarp.?d to nrPcPni- n~nPrc Burton Edelson and Noel Hinners
wi also be invited to speak. Senator Harrison Schmitt has been asked to
speak after the dinner for Colloquium participants on the evening oC 3 June.
I have enclosed a list of possible participants and a copy of the
invitation that will be sent to each. Any further suggestions you have would
be most welcome. I look forward to your talk on New Concepts for and
Dependence on Future Space Based intelligence Systems. We hope you will
participate in as much of the rest of the Colloquium as possible, including
the dinner of the eveninc oL 3 June.
