Section 113 (b) of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1970 provides that each committee of the House of Representatives shall, insofar as prac- ticable, require all witnesses appearing before it to file in advance w ittn _ r statements of their proposed testimony, 'and to limit their oral presentation to a brief summary. The. House Committee on the Judiciary will require all witnesses scheduled to testify before it to provide the Committee with a minimum of Xn copies of a prepared statement at least forty-eight hours prior to the. scheduled appearance of the witness. While there is no set form required fox- the prepared statement, ii is recommended that the statement be type- written, double spaced, or printed.
