C. 20505 Dear Mr. Casey: COMMITTEE ON WAYS AND MEANS SELECT COMMITTEE ON INTELLIGENCE I was pleased to learn of the human relations seminars conducted for the Agency's department heads by Charles H. King, Jr., of Atlanta. The use of Dr. King's approach certainly speaks well of the Agency's commitment to achieve affirmative action. The scope and effectiveness of his porgram has had far reaching effects in Atlanta and other cities through- out the country. In the past 6 years, over 500 Atlanta leaders have completed Dr. King's two-day course on Urban Awareness. These efforts have made our community a better place as black and white leaders have continued and enhanced our city's tradition of biracial coalitions. You will be interested in knowing that Dr. King only recently, in recognition of his work, received the Atlanta Urban League's 1982 Distinguished Community Service Award. Please know of my support for the Agency's efforts towards better human relations and I commend you for using the talent and skill of Dr. Charles H. King, Jr. towards these ends. With best wishes, l o ri M -,1 +) (1 c U IA 44 a d obi` w it
