1982 issue of Studies in Intelligence (Vol. 26, #2).
As you know, Studies is a Ccmnunity issuance, published under
the aegis of the Director of Central Intelligence. Founded 26
years ago by Sherman Kent to foster the development of a
literature of Intelligence, Studies is governed by an Editorial
Board drawn fran across the Central Intelligence Agency. A member
of the Board for several years, I now serve happily as its
Cha i rman.
The pages of Studies are open to anyone in the Camwnity. We
hope that you will encourage your people to join with us in pub-
lishing the journal, which enjoys a wide readership throughout the
White House, the Department of State, and the Department of
Defense.
