SECRET All portions of this document are classified SECRET Approved For Release 2006/07/12 CIA-RDP83M00914R002000240005-3 SECRET -- His analysis was faulty in that it lacked objectivity and balance. -- The early Cuban/M-19 connection lacked the unique qualities which would accord it special attention by OPLA. -- Colombia was not of priority policy-related interest which, in part, accounted for the minimal intelligence analysis on the M-19 group in the past. -- Until recently, there was little evidence in p reporting to justify a serious analytical focus on the Cuban/M-19 connection. -- The DO officer's account of the nature and quality of the information available on the M-19 and its Cuba connection matched that of the NFAC analysts. The DO officer's conclusions regarding the information were also similar to NFAC'S. 4.
