SUBJECT: Private Sector Survey
As the President indicated at last week's Cabinet meeting,
the Private Sector Survey program will soon be launched.
J. Peter Grace, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
W. R. Grace & Co., will be announced on Wednesday, March 3,
as the Chairman of a 30-member Executive Committee which will
guide this program. Other members of the Executive Committee
will be announced following the President's return to Washington.
In order to assist the Private Sector Survey which intends to
search for savings throughout government, we would like you to
designate a senior member of your Department with whom the
Private Sector Survey teams can coordinate. We will keep you
informed of program development through this contact. The
person will be asked to assist the Private Sector Survey
team in its contact with your Department at the appropriate
time.
Please provide my office (Adele Gonzalez at 456-2823), with
the name of the individual you wish to select by March 10, 1982.
