Dear Mr. Vice President:
Thank you for Your 22 April 1982 to Mr. Casey
concerning Mr. Casey is away for a few
days and I am taking the liberty of responding for him.
Our DirActo-r of Pe-rsonnpl has achrised Top that as
interviewed on 28 April
1982. Unfortunately, we had to advise him at that time that we
would not be able to. employ him in a position commensurate with his
salary requirements. His educational background is not strong
enough nor is his work experience appropriate for either the Career
Training Program or other professional openings we may have at
this time. He discussed with our recruiter the possibility of
attending graduate school and was advised that he could be con-
sidered for a security escort position at either a GS-04 or -05.
However, these grade levels are not high enough to meet his salary
requirements. As you know from your experience in this Agency, the
Career Training Program requires a somewhat unique individual and
the fact that he was not selected for a position in that Program
in no way reflects adversely on or his credentials. I
suggest that he may wish to consider reapplying if he continues
his education and/or enhances his work and other experiences.
We appreciate your writing to us.in behalf of this fine young
man, and you may be sure that he. has our best wishes for success in
the future.
