SUBJECT: First Meeting e 9 November 1982
REFERENCE: Memorandum from the DCI, DCI/ICS 82-4250, dated
22 July 1982
1. I would like to hold the first meeting of the Executive Steering
Group for Planning on Tuesday, 9 November, from 1500-1600 hours in Room 6W02,
Community Headquarters Building. At this meetin I am hopeful we can endorse
the principal planning studies which has described in meetings 25X1
with you and/or members of your staff as well as discuss additional planning
issues which have arisen during these meetings. Dis prep i~r na an agenda 25X1
for this meeting and will forward it to you in the near future. 25X1
2e In the meantime I have asked=to proceed with the formation of 25X1
the Planning Working Group which he wi chair under our purview and to
initiate work on updating the 1985 Intelligence Capabilities Study per the
approved Terms of Reference for the 1982 Strategic Planning Cycle. I am
sending a memorandum to your principals and to the heads of other de artments
and agencies asking for their appointees to this Working Group. 25X1
