Approved For Release 2007/11/13: CIA-RDP83M00914R002400160027-4 Central Intelligence Agency The Honorable Daniel P. Moynihan Vice Chairman, Select Committee on Intelligence United States Senate Washington, D. C. 20510 1/-38,4/,,004 The DCI and I want to thank the Committee for your support in our objec- tive of providing CIA employees additional compensation while they are serving abroad. I am also sympathetic to the concerns you voice in your 8 July letter. In response to the points you raised and the views of Chairmen Boland and Addabbo, in the coming months we will complete a full-scale analysis of our overseas compensation situation. We would hope to return to the Congress after this analysis is complete with the purpose of adjusting the pay scales of CIA and other civilians in the Intelligence Community working overseas. Until this study is complete, the additional compensation will continue as an interim overseas differential. As always, I value your support and counsel highly. Sincerely, B. R. INMAN Admiral, U.S. Navy Acting Director of Central Intelligence 25X1 25X1 Approved For Release 2007/11/13: CIA-RDP83M00914R002400160027-4 Approved For Release 2007/11/13: CIA-RDP83M00914R002400160027-4 Approved For Release 2007/11/13: CIA-RDP83M00914R002400160027-4
