I have been contacted by the Pennsylvania State Sheriffs' Association to
respectfully request you to be their honored guest and keynote speaker
at the President's Annual Banquet on July 15, 1982. The event will be
held at the Holiday Inn in Butler, Pennsylvania. This will be their 60th
year to hold the Pennsylvania Sheriffs' Convention and they anticipate
approximately 400 State Sheriffs, legislators, and other law enforcement
officials to be present.
I feel that you would be the most qualified individual to speak to them
on current affairs relating to the Association. I know the members would
be very interested in meeting you, and your appearance would mean a great
deal to me at this time.
Therefore, I am asking you to honor them with your presence, and I hope
your busy schedule will permit you to do so.
The dinner is scheduled to begin at 6:30 and they plan on you addressing
them at approximately 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. They requested that the length
of the speech range from 20 to 30 minutes.
They have volunteered to arrange your hotel accommodations for you at the
Butler Holiday Inn, as well as make arrangements for your travel there.
I anxiously await your reply, and feel free to contact my AA, Robb Austin,
should you have additional questions concerning this event.
