---Approved For Release 2007iP3 16 ( IAERl P83M00914R002800110001-3 MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director of Central Intelligence EURJ SUBJECT 24 November Discussion of Career Trainee Recruitment Process I appreciate the time you spent with me addressing the Agency's recruitment process. Having just endured a year of tests, interviews and anxious anticipation, I value your personal interest in this area. 25X1 25X1 Reflecting upon the topics we discussed, my overall impression of the recruitment cycle is favorable. It is a long and arduous process, yet it is a fair assessment of the candidate which looks beyond raw test data. Specific parts that could be strengthened are: the role of the program officer and initiation to cover before coming on board. Due to the clandestine nature of Agency life, the recruited Career Trainee woud benefit from a strong orientation to the intricacies of their new career. As much as I tried to provide an objective review of. the recruitment cycle I could not help interject my enthusiasm and pride. at being selected for this program. Thank you again for your time and interest. /cc: C/CMS 1VW3&-0 Aooroved For Release 2007/03/16: CIA-RDP83M00914R002800110001-3
