end of December.
On 17 November (Chief, Technology Transfer Analysis Center)
and briefed the NSC Technology Transfer Coordinating
Committee on Soviet technological needs.
An analysis of Prince Fahd's decisionmaking style is being completed
for the NSC.

We are providing Richard Perle a paper on Turkish decisionmaking dynamics
to support him in bilateral talks on defense issues.
National Intelligence Council
-- You will be receiving our recommendation to do a SNIE (Commerce request)
on COCOM attitudes on export controls and U.S. proposals at the coming
"High Level Meeting."
-- Chairman, NIC, and Andy Marshall, DoD, are organizing an interagency
seminar on internal strains in the USSR.
-- NIE on LOS and SNIE on southern Africa are nearing completion; work has
begun on NIE on Soviet military technology and R&D.

-- Six-eight Brown University students who demonstrated during your visit
may be expelled; demonstrations have occurred recently at four other
campuses, but are believed to be isolated incidents.
