Legislative Liaison Division The Deputy Director is scheduled to appear before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on Tuesday, 13.July, at 2:00 p.m. Subject: Soviet Active Measures. The Deputy Director is scheduled to appear before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on Wednesday, 14 July, at 2:00 p.m. Subject: Worldwide Narcotic Trafficking. 2. Public Affairs Division Special Event: On Friday, 16 July, several Congressional staffers from the House and Senate Intelligence Committees and Public Affairs officers from the Departments of State and Defense will visit CIA Headquarters for a Security Awareness Day. Presentations will be made in the Headquarters Auditorium by several senior Agency officials on hostile intelligence services targeted against U.S. officials, technical devices and techniques, telephone security, personal protection and leaks of sensitive information and the resulting danage to U.S. national security. Publications Review Board: Former Agency employee 25X1 who is now an employee of the Israel Police Force has appealed a recent Publications Review Board decision on his manuscript dealing with passport examination. appeal has been forwarded to the IG's office 25X1 for its recommen a i will then be presented to the DDCI. Miscellaneous: On Friday, 9 July, Director of the Office of External Affairs ..addressed several members of. the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry in Denver, Colorado concerning state of world affairs and the public and legislative roles of CIA. 25X1 appearance is being hosted by Hewlett-Packard.
