1. Legislative Liaison Division
The Director is scheduled to appear before the House Permanent
Select Committee on Intelligence on Wednesday, 16 June at 10:00.
Subject: Clandestine/covert action b CIA and Army ISA and the
Office of the Secretary of Defense.
2. Public Affairs Division

an has requested through FOIA (1) the number of 25X1
manuscripts submitted to CIA for review from 1979 to present;
(2) the length of each manuscript; (3) the date on which each
manuscript was submitted by the author; and (4) the date on
which the Board acted on each manuscript. Mr. Lynch is repre-
senting an individual (presumably non-Agency) who is involved
in a dispute with another Government agency over the amount of
time required to conduct prepublication review and he wishes to
demonstrate that the "CIA has compiled an exemplary record of
generally completing its reviews within thirty days." Mr. Lynch
coordinated his request with OGC, P Al nate 25X1

3. Coordinator for Academic Affairs
CAA has contacted 14 aides to college and university presidents
who are to be invited for the next presidents' visit on 13 October
1982. Of the 14 contacted, 2 had previous commitments, 12 invita-
tions are being prepared for the others. F __I
