A plan is being prepared for the increased use of SIGINT for monitoring narcotics trafficking activities and for long range funding and staffing requirements for this 25X1 activity. National Intelligence Council - Secretary Shultz has asked for an NIE on Poland to be completed by 30 August. Differences within the Community are expected on Jaruzelski's freedom for action and his intentions. - NIO/GPF will brief the Chairman, JCS, and Chief of Staff of the Air Force next week on the GPF intelligence production program.
