Research
Minicomputer Study. :lo met for the first time on
21 May 1980 with members #4 SEC/OBR to discuss their re-
quirements for a stand-alas}e minicomputer system. We
were presented a very general overview of how the data
is handled today versus new they foresee it being handled
by a minicomputer. We pp13an to hold additional meetings
to gather detailed user r3 -si.remente.

A conglomeration of ardware, software, configuration,
and procedural problems was visited upon AMPS servico to
BOAC customers in epidemic proportions during the past
ate,. While each now pro4lam was dealt with in turn and
blem was long lived this was of little solace to
AC users who viewed the large assortment of odd
problems as one big pain.. Currently all is quiet and
well with AMPS. W e o to +see AMPS now return to the
sass high level of perforalance whi h. we had become accus-
tomed to prior to the past week.
