May, Jr. Director of Data Processing ODP Report for Week ending 21 October 1977 Training Provided to FBI ODP taught an eight day course, GIN--II Dictionaries, which was completed by 13 students. Five of these students are with the FBI and have been provided this training to help the FBI become more proficient with their newly intro- duced 1 IM-II system. GI-1-II is a data base management system developed by TRW, Inc. for the Federal government and funded primarily by CIA. CIA is cooperating with other Federal agencies, like the FBI, to help them gain experience with this sophisticated system. Our main vehicle for this is a GIMP Users Group sponsored by CIA. STATINTL Hearing The budget hearing with OMB and Intelligence Co uiity Staff examiners was held on Thursday afternoon. The hear ing was conducted on the consolidated decision package leve4TATINTL which was contained in the Zero Base ,Budget (ZBB) format previously provided to OMB.
