Installation of JES3 in tuffinc Center
The Office of Data Processing (On?) plans to install
the Job Entry Subsystem (JES3) on its Batch computers in
the Ruffing Center on 6 September 1977. This system will
replace the current ASP scheduling system. We have been
testing the JES3 system in isolated and test-production
modes over the past several months. Several Technotes and
a JES3 User Requirements Manual have been published describing
this system, its impact on user jobs, and the steps users must
take to ensure proper execution of their jobs under a JTIS3
environment. We are confident that all user applications
will run successfully in the JE53 environment if the published
guidelines are followed. We have notified all ADP Control
officers by memorandum and asked them to ensure that their
offices have full. tested their batch applications under this
new system.

10--11 September. This outage will, affect both the CC-47
Computer Center and the DATEX switching station which carries
