1. (S/D) SIGNIFICANCE: TWO MEDIUM POL TANKS WERE DESTROYED AND
TWO SMALL POL TANKS WERE DAMAGED, PROBABLY BY A RECENT IRAQI
AIR STRIKE.
2. (S/D) REMARKS: THE DAMAGE INFLICTED ON JAZIREH YE KHARK POL
TERMINAL, PROBABLY BY AN IRAQI AIR STRIKE. CAN NOW BE
ASSESSED. HEAVY SMOKE OBSCURED THE FACILITY ON 25X1
WHEN EVIDENCE OF THE STRIKE WAS FIRST OBSERVED. TWO MEDIUM POL.-
TANKS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED AND TWO SMALLER POL TANKS HAVE BEEN
DAMAGED SINCE A TOTAL OF TWO MEDIUM AND FOUR 25X1
SMALL POL TANKS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED TO DATE.
