MK6 GENERAL PUF.POSE AIR CUSHION VEHICLES (ACV) WERE
OBSERVED AT AQABAH PORT FACILITIES ON IMAGERY
TRANSIT TO IRAQ.
2. (SWN/NOFORN) REMARKS: THE TWO WINCHESTER (SR.N6)-CLASS
THEY WERE PROBABLY BEING PREPARED FOR OVERLAND
CORPORATlOPd IS IN THE PROCESS OF DELIVERING SIX (SR.N6) A1KG
TO THE GOVERNA9EPdT OF IRAQ. THE DEFENSE ATTACHE IN AMMAN
REPORTED IN JULY THAT HE HAll OBSERVED TWO ACV BEING
TRANSPORTED OVERLAND TO IRAQ. SUBSEQUENTLY, FOUR ACV WERE
OBSERVED ON SYNOPTIC COVERAGE OF TVJO INSTALLATIONS IN
ONE ACV WAS ON THE QUAY AND ONE b~'AS ONBOARD A
PROBABLE IRAQI POLTAVA-CLASS MERSHiP AT THE QUAY.
COLLATERAL HAS REPORTED THAT THE BRITISH HOVERCRAFT
IRAQ. WHEN THE TtiVO MOST RECENTLY OBSERVED ACV ARRIVE IN
