Approved For Release 2007/04/02 : CIA-RDP83T00951R000100010028-6 National Intelligence Council 18 January 1982 February looks like a good time and a one day trip would probably be about right. I understand I can arrive at the airport in Detroit as early as 0945 and then drive myself or take a cab to your office. Please let me know where it is and how long it takes to get there. I will probably return to Washington the same night. At this juncture my February calendar is relatively clear. Tuesday through Friday is usually best. Do you want to pick a date? I can probably manage about three appointments plus a working lunch. In addition to China, I would like to talk to someone about the two subjects of our problems with Japan over trade and our problems with Japan over high technology sectors where Japanese progress threatens the US position. Best regards, ~;. v--e__ David D.
