1. William P. Clark has expressed the NSC's appreciation to me for
CIA's efforts in producing an "outstanding" intelligence assessment to
National Security Study Directive 1-82. Judge Clark wishes those CIA
officers responsible to be commended for their effort, cooperativeness,
and rapid response to a study which had the personal involvement of the
President.
2. Please pass on an according commendation tol lof your
office who made such a fine contribution.to the CIA effort.
3. I am asking the Office of Personnel to place a copy of this
commendation in official folder.
