DENTIFICATION OF DOCUMENT (author, form, addressee, title & Ten th) Memorandum from Prescott Childs, Chief ICAPS, to the DCI. Subject: "Coordination of Intelligence". 2 pp. ut coordination between ORE and the IAC members. b i o s a This memo Though the Dulles Report states that IAC agencies do not participate actively in intelligence estimates the State Dept and the AD in turn complain that they are not receiving even the subject matter of in- telligence that is of dominant interest to them until it is too late. In NSCID #3 and more specifically in DCI 3/1 normal procedures for ad- vising IAC members on intelligence data is covered, thus giving CIA no reason not to at least inform IAC agencies of subjects concerning them. Coordination is also lacking in both the "Review of the World Situation" and in current and staff intelligence which is not truly CIA's interest as national intelligence is.
