ABSTRACT
This memo presents a plan for a CIA Office of Estimates, HS/HC-810
presupposing the establishment of research support, new senior Item 4,
functions, and procedural methods are outlined. The memo suggests
a coordination and Liaison Staff, an Administrative Staff, a Current
Intelligence Division 'five re Tonal Divisions and a Functional and a
General Di isionL. 25X1
are used as precedents: to help establish procedures for the proposed
office, especially in :regards to coordination. Already existing CIA
estimative functions are discussed and discarded as unacceptable.
Finally discussion of :research functions, a Research Office, and IAC
relationships is included.(note states "achially drafted by Montague.")
