This paper is an estimate of the situation in'Vietnam on
5 September.1950 stating that the French probably cannot
hold northern Indochina for more than a year and a half y
and that the Chinese Communists will probably not launch
a military attack in 1950 though they will continue to
furnish assistance to Ho Chi Minh. (Handwritten)Comments)
