Draft of OSI History.

1. Attached hereto is the original and one copy of a
draft of the OSI History as requested by your memorandum on the
subject dated 8 April, 1952.
2. Certain tabs, consisting primarily of organization and
personnel charts as noted in the text, are being prepared and will
be delivered in approximately two weeks.
3. Because of the previous delays in completing this paper,
and the consequent urgency of the matter, I am forwarding the draft
without the. usual review in the Assistant Directorts Office. Copies
are being circulated at the appropriate levels in OSI, however, and
we will probably have further suggestions.
4. I suggest that you feel free to discuss the draft directly
with the Production Staff in order that'a final paper may be agreed
upon as expeditiously as practicable. I shall be pleased to discuss
any aspects of it with you as you may deem necessary.
