At its third meeting, the National Intelligence Authority
amended and approved Enclosure "A" to N.I.A. 3 (subsequently
circulated as N.I.A. Directive No. 4+). Concurrently, the Sec-
retary of War amended and approved Enclosure "B" to N.I.A. 3.
and it was issued in the form shown in Enclosure "A" hereto.
Pursuant to the above actions, the Director of Central
Intelligence transmitted. to the Director, Strategic Services
Uni:,,t, the Initial Directive in Enclosure "B" hereto.
