SUBJECT : Nominations of Candidates for the FY-82
Public Service Awards Program
1. Action Requested: That you approve the candidates to be nominated
for the FY-82 Public Service Awards Program.
2. Background: The Office of Personnel annually offers to Directorates
and Career Services an opportunity to consider all their members ana to
recommend qualified candidates for Public Service Awards.
The Public Service Awards were established to provide honor and
recognition to outstanding persons who distinguish themselves in Government
service. A booklet which describes the criteria for each award and lists
past Agency nominees and award recipients is attached.
3. Staff Position: The Honor and Merit Awards Board has reviewed
the Career Service nominations for FY-82 and recommended that the following
individuals be nominated for the awards indicated. Biographic profiles of
these individuals are attached for information purposes.
