The 80th Anniversary of the National Civil Service League
The National Civil Service League is proud to present
its seventh annual Career Service Awards to ten outstand-
ing employees of the Federal Government. These men and
women exemplify the highest characteristics of career
government service: competence, efficiency, character,
and continuity of service.
The National Civil Service League is a nonpartisan
civic organization representing the public interest in the
public service. Founded in 1881 to spearhead the drive
against the spoils system, it has always been in the fore-
front of personnel progress. It is the only citizen group
in the country working continuously to improve and
modernize public personnel management at all levels of
government.

mendous expansion and activity in our capital markets, of rules, interpretations,
and policies adopted years ago to meet different market conditions and problems.

cedures which have dealt successfully with and have been responsive to current
needs and problems.
