1. This memorandum is for information only.
2. The activities of the Office of Security during
the week 3 - 19 April 1978 were highlighted by the
following items:
A. The Office of Security participation
in the 1ity clearance portion of the Agency
Summer Employment Program is nearly completed.
Of 269 original applicants, 238 have been
approved; 8 have been cancelled; and 23, in
unusually high number, are being referred to
the Executive Review Panel.
b. one office of Security representative
visited Nor olk State College and Virginia Union
College this week on a minority recruitment
mission. Another representative visited
officials of the Urban League in New York City
to establish contacts with minority groups
in that area.
C. On 17 April a representative of
this Of briefed two non-official cover
officers regarding security considerations
applicable to their impending assignment
overseas.
