Gambino Director of Security SUBJECT: Office of Security Significant Activities Week of 31 August 1978 (U) REFERENCE: DDA Administrative Instruction No. 74-5 1. (U) This memorandum is for information only. 2 (U) The activities of the Office of Security during the week of 31 August - 6 September 1978 were highlighted by the following items: a. (U) The public hearings of the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) began on 6 September and Office of Security personnel have been tasked to provide seven-day-a-week coverage and security support. This support is likely to remain constant or increase during the next three months. Since 29 August, this Office has been responding to short deadline HSCA interrogatories and reviewing ^~r "Nosenko" case material. In addition, 108 pages of Top Secret testimony given by Richard Helms is being reviewed in response to a HSCA request that it all be declassified. 3.
